One day I’m going to use this blog to post more than just these Check-Ins. But that might still be a while. ;)
Moving.Let’s just say that instead of driving to Berlin and partying with my friends, I spent New Year’s Eve packing boxes. It’s frustrating and stressful and… Well, last but not least moving is scarily expensive, especially considering the down-payment for the flat. Everything together means that I’m right now in the “hide from the world to recover” mode. Bugging me right now might result in annoyed answers. :O
I’m still not unpacked, but hey, as long as that’s everything I can complain about…
New flat! I like it! It’s a cozy two room with laminate and a small, but tiled bathroom. I like it alot. Got a good deal with it and some nice bits of furniture for free to boot. Seriously, the second I walked in there, I knew it was a keeper. I felt at home at once.
First day of work! Loved it. I’m still a noob, but my co-workers are nice and very helpful. My workplace is very nice and spacious, even if the whole office building is so confusing, I got lost in it. *g*
Nimitz likes the new flat. Adventure playground. He’s been playful through the whole move and subsequently made more dumb mistakes than any other kitten of his age. He got stuck under the oven and had to be freed by my parents, for fucks sake! Silly Nimitz.
Poor Jule’s still hiding under the couch, she isn’t dealing well with the scenery change. But she’s still eating and still healthy - she’ll come around on her own time. At least she’s already strong enough to growl at the little tomcat.
I just hope you guys don’t have to move anytime soon!
Take care, all of you.

But now that her oddyssey is about to end she realizes how much she has changed. There might be no home for her to return to anymore.
At the same time the near-immortal Chalcara von Trarran feels her own death draw close. If it were just about her, she wouldn't mind; but Chalcara's mothering a young, innocent civilisation that cannot take care of itself yet. During her search for a solution Chalcara meets Siendes...
Traces of Chaos is an story about endings, about the big and the small ones. Sometimes an end is just a new beginning – and an uneasy friendship has the potential to turn a whole galaxy upside down.
Will be written soon...
